Members' Interests Database

On joining the Society, members fill in a form indicating their surnames of interest, together with dates and locations. This information can be updated at any time. Up to 20 entries can be recorded free of charge. The information is logged into a database and every two years a Directory of Members' Interests is published which is distributed free to every paid up member. This is arranged in four lists:

  1. Members' names and addresses in order of their membership number

  2. Members by their surname, plus membership number, in alphabetical order

  3. Members' surnames of interest, dates and locations, plus membership number, in alphabetical order

  4. Members' special interests (e.g. particular village, occupation, social history etc.), plus membership number.

Updates to the Directory are published quarterly as a loose supplement to the Journal, so that new members' interests or changes to those of existing members are made known as soon as possible. Changes of address and other details also appear in this section.

Using the Directory and its supplements makes it easy to contact any other members who are researching a name of mutual interest.

Contact the Members Interests Secretary for details.

A List of Member's Web Sites is available - if you are an existing Member
