Meetings

The Society organises monthly meetings in Cambridge, through the Programme Orgainser, on a wide variety of topics, which are designed to appeal to beginner and specialist alike. These also provide the opportunity for members to chat to fellow enthusiasts, browse through the latest additions to the Society Library and purchase books from the Society Bookstall. Reports of meetings are published in the Journal for those unable to attend.

There are also special meetings for the Computer Group this is often followed by a lecture in the afternoon. There are now a branches in March which holds regular meetings, details can be found on the March Branch page and Central Cambridge (St Laurence Church) to be found on the St Laurence Branch page.

There is parking on the school playground.
Take the lane to the right of the Community Centre car park.

The CFHS bookstall will be attending the Buckinghamshire FHS Open day on 26th July 2008. The society will be there selling CD's, Microfiche and a selection of books from the county. We look forward to seeing our Cambridgeshire supporters at the event.

The Lecturer

Ron Day graduated with a science degree and went on to teach for several years after that. He then went into the Ministry his first church being at Stradbroke, Suffolk.

He became Minister at Histon Baptist Church in 2001 where he has remained.’

Conferences

The Society has organised day conferences at various Cambridgeshire venues but there are no plans currently to organise one. It also participates in other conferences on an ad hoc basis, such as those run by the East Anglian Group of Family History Societies.
