The Cambridgeshire 1851 Census Index has been made available to aid selection of the microfiche containing the full 1851 census transcriptions available from the bookstall. The following points are relevant to successful searching 1) enter at least two letters of the start of the surname 2) use the first initial character or characters of the forename only as there are many abbreviations 3) enter a town or parish to cut down the amount of entries returned.
